Esco Concrete Inc at 1045 Old Bristol Pike, Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

Esco Concrete had been contracted through my pool builder to install concrete decking around my new in ground pool. The staff at Esco, both in the front office and during the initial estimate, were all pleasant to deal with and responsive to any questions or requests that I had made throughout the process. The only issues I had arose when the job actually began.

The installation was completed as described but looks cheap. This is particularly evident around the inside cantilever edge of the pool. Even two months after completion I still have concrete flaking off into the pool. The plastic stripping embedded into the concrete is crooked in parts and protrudes out of the concrete in others. The application of concrete around the edge is uneven with bits of the gravel base being visible in parts. Upon completion of the job the team rinsed their tools off in my pool (ignoring the nearby hose they were welcome to use) and swept a couple of pounds of concrete dust and debris back into the pool. I did address this issue with Esco and, to their credit, they apologized and said they would address the issue with the work crew but said that this was the cost of doing concrete. Given that Esco was recommended by my pool builder and was the most expensive part of this project, next to the pool itself, I had higher expectations then what was seen in the finished product.

While I'm not opposed to using Esco again I will definitely be doing my due diligence next time and reaching out to a couple of other companies first.
